Links to Freedom Annual Veterans Day Golf Benefit to Feature Cassy Tully Golf Art

Pinehurst, NC - Links to Freedom Golf Foundation’s 7th Annual Veterans Day Golf Benefit, hosted by Winchester Country Club in Winchester, VA, will feature Cassy Tully, golf artist and philanthropist, live painting and auctioned Ryder Cup artwork dual-signed by Steve Stricker..

This annual golf benefit tournament, held on November 9th, 2024, will be played in honor of Charles Arnold “Chuck” Rodgers, 97, who passed away in February, 2024.

Cassy’s will be on-course painting live throughout the tournament, capturing Winchester Country Club’s par four, 267-yard Hole #10. Created in her signature relief-painting technique using acrylic gel mediums blended with sand from the course, the setting features vibrant greens, highlighted by the sparkling water of a meandering stream.

During the tournament, members, golfers and their guests will have the opportunity  to view the painting come to life on canvas, along with meeting Cassy and learning about her painting technique and the golf artwork she has created for major championships and charitable causes, such as the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, BMW Championship and philanthropic partnerships with PGA REACH, the Arnold Palmer Foundation, the NFL Hall of Fame, Make-A-Wish, and many more.

The 7th Annual Veterans Day Golf Benefit features a silent auction, which will include a framed, official print of Cassy’s 43rd Ryder Cup artwork, signed by Ryder Cup Team USA Captain Steve Stricker. Stricker, also a philanthropist, created the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation to show young people that their dreams are not only attainable, but worth the effort.

Cassy’s grandfather is a World War II veteran and her late father, Tim Tully, was also a veteran and proud patriot.

“I am inspired to partner with Links to Freedom for the first time,” Cassy said. “Our wounded warriors and veterans deserve the value and hope that this tournament, event and auction provide. It is my mission to use my art to make a difference in the lives of others, and painting to benefit the wounded warriors, veterans and families through Links to Freedom is a perfect match for my passion as a painter and philanthropist.”

According to Links to Freedom, there are currently over 3.7 million disabled veterans in the U.S., many of whom struggle to find a sense of normalcy and a way to reconnect with civilian life and their families.

The Veterans Day Golf Benefit was established by the Winchester Country Club to raise funds for Links to Freedom. Held every Veterans Day weekend, it has raised over $250,000 for the program.
