Stars & Pars Partners with Golf Artist Cassy Tully to benefit Give Kids The World Vill

Orlando, FL - Stars & Pars, in partnership with Travel + Leisure Co., is pleased to announce that they have commissioned Cassy Tully, golf artist and philanthropist, to create an original work of art, to be painted live at the 12th Annual Stars & Pars Golf and Gala Event. Her artwork, auctioned at the gala on Friday, October 25, 2024, to benefit the Give Kids The World Village, raised $30,000.

Starting with a blank canvas, Cassy will paint the signature hole of Waldorf Astoria’s golf course, using her signature relief-painting technique. She will also blend sand from the course into the paint, increasing its sculptural surface. Throughout the tournament, guests will also have the opportunity to add a brushstroke to the painting and see it come to life. Its vibrant colors will reflect the hope and encouragement that the Stars & Pars organization, along with its partner, Travel + Leisure Co., gives to children with critical illnesses and their families by providing weeklong, cost-free vacations.

Scott Cavanaugh, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Licensing at Travel + Leisure Co., noted that as of 2023, over $2,500,000 has been donated to Give Kids The World Village.

This year’s event takes place at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, where sponsors and guests have the opportunity to golf the 18-hole championship golf course, enjoy dinner, entertainment and bid on silent and live auction items.

Along with being on-site for the duration of the weekend event, Cassy will present the completed painting live during the gala on Friday, October 25, a time for guests to view her painting and learn more about Cassy’s golf artwork and philanthropic mission to make a difference in the lives of others.

The gala silent auction will include a framed, official print of Cassy’s 43rd Ryder Cup artwork, signed by Ryder Cup Team USA Captain Steve Stricker. Stricker, also a philanthropist, created the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation to show young people that their dreams are not only attainable, but worth the effort.

“Stars & Pars is a powerful partnership that I’m inspired to be a part of,” Cassy said. “It is with joy and gratitude that I contribute my creativity to the deserving children and families.”

Cassy Tully Completes Magnum Opus, Painting Titled "Crimson Reserve"

I am honored to announce that I have completed my magnum opus, my largest golf painting to date. The painting titled Crimson Reserve, features the signature hole at The University of Alabama's Intercollegiate Athletics Golf Facility. Installed in the beautiful new clubhouse, the painting is now a permanent part of the facility's art collection. Set on 176 acres, the $47 million facility consists of five buildings, including a golf house and nine-hole course designed by Davis Love III.

The 4’ x 10’ painting was created over an 18-month span that included a site visit to take reference photos and measurements, view the course layout, and experience the space in person. I collaborated with interior designers and architects, and The University of Alabama's project management and golf course superintendent to create the painting as the course and facility was being built.  Sand from the golf course was blended into the paint to create my signature relief-painting technique.
