Sheboygan – HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is proud to continue its rewarding partnership with Cassy Tully – Fine Art with the Spring 2016 Health, Healing and Hope artist showcase. Artists include Patty Aker, Alyssa Gruenwald, and M. Jennifer Hochschild.
The event will be held at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Opening Reception is Thursday, June 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Administrative Hallway.
Cassy’s Bloom painting will be showcased. Featuring a precious bud that holds the beauty and mystery of what we may become, Bloom exudes peace and joy, urging us to grow as one glorious bloom. Available for $7250, a portion of Bloom’s proceeds benefit the HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital Foundation.
Aker paints on silk, with the paint taking on a life of its own, merging into amazing contortions of vibrant color. She tames the dye flow, the results a visual, textural delight. Gruenwald’s photography examines the relationship humans have with each other, celebrating the risk, trust, failure, and perseverance involved in the creative process. Nature, seasons, and the cycle of life are the forces that unite Hochschild’s paintings, each imbued with a sense of depth and perspective.
“Health, Healing and Hope continues to provide an important connection between art and healing,” said Andrew Bagnall, President and CEO of HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital. “Our partnership demonstrates the vital role of art and its capacity to heal.”
