Cassy's Painting Auctioned to Benefit Coaches vs. Cancer

Cassy’s artwork is being featured in the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Invitational Circle of Honor Dinner, held on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Her original painting, Whistling Straits – Hole #17, features the majestic sand bunkers of the championship course, using her signature relief-painting technique which incorporates sand from the course into the paint. This 24 X 30” masterpiece is being auctioned in memory of Cassy’s late father, Timothy Tully.

Also on display at the event is Cassy’s original painting created for the 2020 Ryder Cup, which will take place at Whistling Straits on September 24 – 26, 2021. This painting features the vibrant gallery and first tee, where the drama of match play commences.

Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Invitational enlists the support of the college basketball community in the ACS’s fight to end cancer. During the last 21 years, this event has raised more than $5.5 million. This year the ACS is pleased to honor Reggie Minton, who recently retired from his role as NABC deputy executive director. Minton was instrumental in forming Coaches vs. Cancer in 1983.

Cassy Tully’s Paintings Celebrate Milwaukee Brewers’ 50th Anniversary

Artist Cassy Tully has created two paintings titled Milwaukee Brewers - 50th Anniversary Commemorative Paintings. These paintings, commissioned pre-pandemic, are a gift from the club to Mark Attanasio, chairman and principal owner of the team, and Bud Selig, the founding owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, and celebrate the history of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Attanasio family’s commitment to the club.

The paintings, each 36 X 60”, depict the infield, highlighted by emerald green field, colorful views of the fans, and the soaring span of the stadium’s 600’ convertible roof above. Iconic images of Milwaukee County Stadium and Bernie Brewer’s original chalet anchor each painting. Commemorative prints, 12 X 24”, are available on high-quality paper and make an ideal addition for any baseball fan’s collection. Prints are available in Cassy’s online shop at www.cassytully.com/shop.

Cassy’s artwork depicts not only the storied history of the Brewers, but features Attanasio’s late father on the infield for the singing of the national anthem.

“I am honored to create this artwork for Mr. Selig, Mr. Attanasio and the Brewers’ organization,” Cassy said. “I was born and raised in Milwaukee and am a lifelong Brewers fan. Painting these brought back many treasured memories.”

Cassy is known for her signature relief-painting technique, which utilizes acrylic gel mediums and ground from the playing field to manipulate paint like clay, increasing the level of relief and illusion of perspective. Each painting is a true masterpiece.

Unveiling "Once In a Lifetime"

Cassy welcomed her newest Collectors Jeff and Christina to her studio for a special unveiling and surprise celebration! In March, Jeff commissioned Cassy to create an original painting of C Lazy U Ranch, where their family has often traveled to enjoy memorable vacations trail riding the western landscape. The painting was created in honor of the couple’s 15th wedding anniversary. Christina has followed Cassy’s work for many years and expressed a wish to someday have her own Cassy Tully original painting, so Jeff felt this was the ideal time to surprise her.

Once In a Lifetime features Cassy’s signature relief-painting technique, with acrylic gel mediums blended into a panoramic composition. Wildflowers and rustic trees have glittering glass beads, with the rugged mountains and clear, running water blended into a tranquil setting. Cassy’s affection for horses and landscape come to life, as each horse is painted in great detail to represent the horses the family rides and bonds with at the ranch.

“It was a treasured moment that was made more special by Jeff’s wish to honor their family and marriage in such a memorable way,” Cassy said.

Although this painting could be painted only once in a lifetime, the memories live on as their new masterpiece now hangs in a place of honor above their mantel.

New Collector Purchases "Hallelujah"

Some paintings wait to find their Collector. Such was the case with Hallelujah, painted years ago as Cassy’s promise to stay true to herself in creating a life filled with love, art and health. She brought it along to her studio in Milwaukee, where it fit perfectly in its new surroundings. Until recently, when a Collector felt connected to the painting’s message and installed it in her beautiful home.
