FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Medinah, IL, August, 2019

Cassy Tully Artwork Featured at 2019 BMW Championship

Artist Cassy Tully has created original artwork for the 2019 BMW Championship featuring the iconic clubhouse at Medinah Country Club, which is hosting the tournament August 13-18.

Medinah Country Club is one of the most prominent, yet member-friendly, private country clubs in the United States, playing host to numerous major championships and prestigious international golf events, including the 2012 Ryder Cup, two PGA Championships and three U.S. Open events

An 18 X 24” poster of Cassy’s clubhouse painting will be available for $25 each in the merchandise tent throughout BMW Championship week at Medinah. Also available will be her Collectors Edition hand-painted ornaments, signed and dated for $50 each, featuring exquisite texture using sand from Medinah’s golf course.

Additionally, an enhanced print on canvas of the clubhouse painting will be auctioned off during a private charity event at the club on August 12, with a portion of sale proceeds benefiting the Evans Scholars Foundation.

“My painting, posters and ornaments celebrate the BMW Championship through capturing the history and character of Medinah Country Club,” Cassy said. “I am also honored to work with the Western Golf Association and help support the Evans Scholars Foundation through their Caddies for College event.”

Cassy will be in the merchandise tent from August 13 - 18 to sign posters, personalize ornaments and meet with fans.

For more than 90 years, Medinah’s majestic clubhouse has become one of the most recognizable sites in all of golf; it is now captured on canvas by Cassy’s signature relief-painting technique. She utilizes acrylic gel mediums and sand from the golf course to manipulate paint like clay, increasing the level of relief and illusion of perspective.
